Dimmable Electronic Ballasts from MEGAMAN^®

Leading lamp manufacturer MEGAMAN^® UK Limited has launched a range of dimmable electronic ballasts to complement its extensive series of energy efficient lamps. Equipped with DorS dimming technology, the new MEGAMAN^® dimmable electronic ballasts have an ultra–compact profile and have been designed for use with both T8 and T5 linear tubes and T9 circular tubes.

With an average service life of 50,000 hours, the MEGAMAN^® electronic ballast offers many benefits to the user including flicker–free operation with stable light output over any fluctuation in voltage supply. The pre–programmed 4 step dimming mechanism provides adjustable lighting levels from 100%, 66%, 33% down to 5% and offers 20% more energy savings for each 'step–down' in dimming.

The new MEGAMAN^® ballast has automatic restart after lamp replacement and offers the safe shutdown of defective lamps or lamps at the end of life (rectifying effect). Equipped with a harmonics filter, the unit has a wide voltage range from 170V to 250V, has an operating frequency of ~40–100kHz and meets international standards for maximum electromagnetic interference which prevents disturbance towards radio and medical equipment. Installation is simple, without the need for a starter or capacitor and dimming which is comfortable to the eye can be achieved via an ordinary light/dimmer switch.
