MEGAMAN^® Shines at Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2007

The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2007 was held at HKCEC from 28-31 October and was an outstanding success. MEGAMAN^®, as a pioneer in the lighting industry, has taken part in the fair for 5 consecutive years, demonstrating its latest technological developments and designs to international buyers and visitors.

This year, MEGAMAN^® employed an interactive approach at the booth. Three themed rooms - a dining room, a sitting room and a fashion house - were installed with MEGAMAN^®'s latest inventions to simulate various illumination effects for both household and commercial applications. Visitors were able to enjoy a remarkable lighting experience with MEGAMAN^®'s innovative lighting solutions.

DIMMERABLE, was the highlight this year. Visitors took the lead in previewing MEGAMAN^®'s new TVC, which will be officially launched mid-November, and experimented with the dimming effects in the show room. It was astonishing that a CFL was providing a smooth linear dimming range from 10% to 100% via conventional dimmer switches without retrofit or rewiring.

Another breakthrough of the CFL industry presented at the Lighting Fair is the World's first compact fluorescent lamp with a G9 base - CFL G9. Visitors were amazed to see how this design offered a viable alternative to halogen G9 bulbs that offers lengthier lamp life, generates less heat and consumes far less energy.

The world's first plug-in-tube with integrated electronic ballast – PLi and linear fluorescent tubes with integrated ballast – Self-Ballasted Linear were featured as well. These new inventions stunned visitors with the convenience of their unique plug-and-play feature, serving both commercial and domestic purposes.

Besides showcasing the newest products from MEGAMAN^®, Mr. Howard Ng, Senior Marketing Manager of Megaman (HK) Electrical & Lighting Ltd. was also invited to give a seminar on the topic of "The future trends: Linear Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) dimming".
