MEGAMAN^® Helps Tackle Climate Change In Support of Climate Action

The problem of global warming is threatening the world. To get the public aware of the issue, Sustainable Development International organises the "Climate Action" in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), with the objective to assist business towards carbon neutrality, easing the adverse effects of global warming. With the mission to protect the environment, MEGAMAN^® is in full support of Climate Action to tackle the climate change.

In the "Climate Change Conference" held in Bali, Indonesia in December 2007, a publication "Climate Change" and a website were officially launched. With articles and features by authoritative authors from governments, intergovernmental organisations, civil society and the private sector, the book and website will include practical 'Actions' - steps that companies and governments can take to reduce their carbon footprint. In addition, it will aid institutional investors in analysing and comparing the ways companies handle the business risks and opportunities associated with global warming.

MEGAMAN^® made its contribution by sponsoring the program and educating the social sectors to conserve energy. MEGAMAN^® clarified the general misconceptions of compact fluorescent lamps and urged the green use of CFL which emits less heat and saves 80% of energy than normal incandescent, so as to eliminate CO₂emission by power plant.
