MEGAMAN^® Emerged in its Full Splendor at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2008

Outstands in the Industry with its Eco-Contribution and product innovation

As a pioneer in the eco lighting industry, MEGAMAN^® has successfully demonstrated its strong commitment to eco-contribution with the provision of liquid mercury free lighting in its full series of products, and its latest lighting technologies and products for both home and commercial stunning application in the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2008, the Asia's largest lighting exhibition.

MEGAMAN^® endeavors to conserve the environment by improving its lamp design, employing eco-friendly materials and developing new technologies for the sake of producing more energy efficient and eco-friendlier products. Having taken an aggressive step to further minimize environmental impacts at different stages of product life cycle, MEGAMAN^® implements Liquid Mercury Free green manufacturing process in its lamp production. MEGAMAN^® employs Amalgam instead of liquid mercury in full range of its products, making all its products FREE from liquid mercury. The primary benefits of utilizing amalgam instead of liquid mercury include preventing the release of toxic mercury during the manufacturing process. At room temperature, the mercury in the amalgam is concealed inside the metal alloy and would not escape in event of breakage. Furthermore, in its solid form, it reduces environmental contamination to land and water supplies allowing the creation of more compact lamps with excellent lumen quality.

This year, MEGAMAN^® newly added items to its celebrated energy saving lamp series, including MEGAMAN^® Total Dimming Solution, Self-Ballasted Linear, G9 Compatible, CFL R7s, etc., realising various lighting designs with fascinating lighting effects and soothing atmosphere has made MEGAMAN^® a must go booth among industry players. Visited by key figures from International lighting industry, foreign media and Worldwide commercial users, and VIPs, all were intrigued by MEGAMAN^® product innovation and compelling edges.

A new member, CFL GX53, had been added to MEGAMAN^® celebrated DIMMERABLE series, completing the range of dimmable energy savers to offer a total dimming solution to users. Possessing a perfect slim profile, the dimmable CFL GX53 can be used in concealed and space conscious applications. It enables smooth dimming from 100% to 10% that parallels its counterparts. Another MEGAMAN^® stunning star was an upgrade version of the MEGAMAN^® Self-Ballasted Linear - Dark-zone Free T2 Version which delivers seamless light output in-between lamp connections and is perfect for both general and indirect lighting applications.

Other new products included the World's first compact fluorescent lamp with a G9 Compatible base, G9 Compatible, and an energy-saving alternative to the high temperature double-ended halogens, CFL R7s. The two energy savers offer a viable alternative to blazing hot halogen G9 bulbs and halogens in R7s lamp base respectively. They possess a lengthier lamp life, generate less heat and consume far less energy.

In addition to showcasing its newest products, MEGAMAN^® was proud to illustrate its effective energy saving lighting solution at the MEGAMAN^® x Giordano corner, which simulates the environment of a Giordano shop with the application of MEGAMAN^® energy efficient lighting solution and has captured encompassed attention in the event. With brilliant eco and technological achievements in the industry, MEGAMAN^® was honoured to have Mr. Fred Lam, executive director of HKTDC, and Mr. Clement Chen, BBS, JP, chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries visited the booth.
