MEGAMAN^® LEDs was Successfully Launched in Milan

During the Milan Design Week from 22-27 April 2009, MEGAMAN^® has put up a LEDs exhibition in a photo studio in via Tortona, a hub of shows and exhibitions for creative designs in Milan, Italy.

The photo studio at via Tortona was transformed into a gallery lit by MEGAMAN^® LED downlights and tracklights. Displays simulating real life applications such as home, bar, restaurant, fashion and jewellery shop received overwhelming response from visitors. Architects and lighting designers were amazed by the light intensity, the choice of colour temperatures and the high colour rendering index that MEGAMAN^® LED retrofit lamps can deliver.

Among the various displays in the exhibition, thousands of visitors were impressed by the side-by-side lighting effect comparison between a MEGAMAN^® LED PAR30 15W and a halogen PAR30 75W lamp. Visitors commented that the MEGAMAN^® LED 15W outperforms the halogen 75W in terms of colour rendering and brightness.

MEGAMAN^® LED reflectors are available as direct replacements for GU10, PAR 16, PAR 20, PAR 30 and AR111 halogen lamps ranging from 35W to 75W, offering significant savings in installed electrical load as well as energy consumption. In terms of caps, they are available in GU10, E14, and E27 combinations with additional new formats to follow swiftly. And with a rated life of 20,000 hours, there are also considerable savings in re-lamping costs. The average cost of ownership shows a payback in less than 4000 hours operation, making a change to LED now very affordable and sensible for the environment.
