MEGAMAN^® Emerged in its Full Splendor at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2009

Dimmable LED Reflector Lamps and Miniature CFL Shed Lights in the Exhibition Hall

(Hong Kong – 28 Oct 2009) As a pioneer in the eco-lighting industry, MEGAMAN^® continuously introduces its ultimate ideas and cutting edge technology in energy saving lighting solutions to consumers from all over the world. Notching up its success in the LED launch early this year, MEGAMAN^® continues to show its commitment to leading a green living, by demonstrating its latest series of innovative energy saving lighting products using Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2009 (Autumn Edition), the Asia’s largest lighting exhibition.

The complete range of MEGAMAN^® eco-lighting solutions combine design and function with heavy emphasis on energy efficiency and eco-dimensions, striving to address the diverse needs of commercial and home usage. Early this year, MEGAMAN^® overwhelmed the industry with its newest breakthrough in LED technology and launched a series of LED Reflector lamps ranging from 7W to 15W that can directly replace halogen lamps. In just a few months, MEGAMAN^® continues to lead the LED market by launching the innovative dimmable LED Reflectors. Two versions of dimmable LED Reflectors, namely the “Smooth dimming” (brightness from 100% to 1%) and “Step-dimming” range (brightness: 100%, 50%, 20% and 5%) are offered.

The dimmable LED Reflectors also apply the patented Thermal Conductive Highway^TM technology to achieve excellent thermal management, which is crucial to the lumen performance. MEGAMAN^® LED Reflector series has a superior lamp life of up to 30,000 hours and offers a direct one-for-one replacement for halogen lamps in terms of colour temperature (within +/-100K colour shift ) and light quality (with deliverance of comparable lumen and options in spot and flood beam angles). Even better, the new series offers more lumen output than other LEDs for the same wattage, achieving energy savings of up to 80% over halogens.

Giordano, one of the best known and established retailers in Asia, has employed the MEGAMAN^® LED reflector lamps in place of the halogen lamps in their shops, significantly reducing electricity and re-lamping overheads. Powerful, highly efficient, extremely long-lasting and with quality, the products are ideal for a myriad of retail, hospitality and household applications in creating the perfect ambience and decorative effects.

Other than the LED newcomers, MEGAMAN^® has made a challenge to further minimise the size of the lamp and has added several new items to its celebrated energy saving lamp series, including the 3W and 5W CANDLE lamps and the 9W Ping Pong series. The new CANDLE energy savers are even more petit over the incandescent CANDLE, making it your perfect choice for atmospheric lighting with your chandeliers. Another MEGAMAN^® stunning star is an upgrade version of PING PONG in 9W which perfectly substitutes a P45 incandescent in 45W, given its same minute profile and energy saving features.

It is also important to note that MEGAMAN^® has implemented Amalgam Technology in the production of its compact fluorescent lamps to minimise the negative impact on the environment, which means there would be NO Mercury Spill when lamps are broken – an advantage that makes MEGAMAN^® a safer choice for both end-users and the planet.

This year, MEGAMAN^® continues to demonstrate the use of energy saving light bulb in stylish designer lighting fixture and it will surely catch the eyes of the visitors. Designed by Jonathan Coles, the Strobilus pendant lamp takes inspiration from the open pine cone and utilises 100 leaves made from 100% recycled paper pulp mounted on a recyclable steel cage. With a strong environmental focus, the Strobilus is 95% recyclable in weight and uses the energy efficient MEGAMAN^® CLUSTERLITE^® light source providing 15,000 hours average life – A masterpiece integrating the aesthetics, functionality and eco-concepts.
