MEGAMAN^® launches new user-friendly lamp for lighting food displays at EuroShop 2011

MEGAMAN^®, leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of innovative, eco-friendly, energy saving lamps, is pleased to announce the launch of its new 20W R9 LED PAR38 lamp, which is ideal for the lighting of all meat, fresh fruit and vegetable display areas.

R9 LED PAR38: lamp and application

The MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 lamp maximises the visual impact of meat, fresh fruit and vegetables by increasing the red colour rendition of the product to consumers and is easier to control than its White SON equivalents. Quick and simple to turn on and off, providing instantaneous, colour perfect luminance, the MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 lamp does not have the long warm-up or restart times associated with existing White SON light source technology.

Not only is the MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 easier to control, but thanks to MEGAMAN^®'s reflector and colour consistency technology offers retailers the same high quality light intensity and colour rendering of more traditional White SON and fluorescent alternatives. Designed to fit directly into an E27 housing, the MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 lamp does not require control gear and can replace existing, less efficient E27 lamps in selected fittings.

With a beam angle of 25 degree, for high quality accent lighting, and a lamp life of up to 30,000 hours, the MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 has been designed to show meat, fruit and vegetables at their best.

The MEGAMAN^® R9 LED PAR38 lamp not only makes meat, fruit and vegetables look their best over the full life of the lamp, but also minimises heat and UV radiation and heat dissipation thanks to the company’s patented Thermal Conductive Highway^TM (TCH) technology.
