MEGAMAN^® Launches TECOH^® OEM LED Module at Light & Building 2012

MEGAMAN^® which leads the way in energy-efficient lighting, is bringing its first OEM LED module range, TECOH^®, to Light & Building 2012.

(Hong Kong – 15 Apr 2012) An application-ready solution which can be simply adapted into existing luminaires, MEGAMAN’s TECOH^® MHx and CFx ranges ensuring the ultimate in flexible design for many years to come.

TECOH^® MHx
Building on the success of MEGAMAN^®'s intelligent TCH reflector solutions, TECOH^® MHx uses a double axial mounted LED array and a unique patented thermally conductive base and head design to offer fixture manufacturers superb heat dissipation, lighting performance and lumen maintenance. The TECOH^® MHx LED module occupies the same space as a G12 ceramic metal halide lamp, plus holder assembly, and has a similar light centre length offering a true alternative up to a 35W metal halide lamp. The module’s dimensions mean that only simple fixture adaptations need to be made, while the lamp’s design allows for effective beam control from existing reflectors.

MEGAMAN^®'s TECOH^® MHx range not only offers excellent light performance and lumen maintenance over its 40,000 operating hours, but it has also been designed with future-proofing in mind: the capsule heads are exchangeable and upgradeable to accommodate technological advances.

TECOH^® CFx
MEGAMAN^®'s TECOH^® CFx range of high performance twist-lock LED modules has an integrated driver for general lighting and is designed in line with proposed Zhaga specifications. With lumen packages of 1100 and 1800 lumens, MEGAMAN^®'s TECOH^® CFx modules are ideal for use in downlights, replacing conventional light sources such as 50W halogen and 2x13W and 2x18W compact fluorescent lamps.

In line with MEGAMAN^®’s policy to develop only eco-lighting solutions, the TECOH^® CFx range of socketable modules can be easily serviced and upgraded to the latest LED technology. By using the twist-lock solution the existing luminaire can be retained, minimising the environmental impact of replacing the whole fixture.

MEGAMAN^®'s TECOH^® CFx modules are based on a unique design using a multiple-chip white LED array at the bottom of the module and a reflector to direct the light through a slightly opaque cover, resulting in a lambertian* beam shape. This unique approach ensures that TECOH^® CFx modules offer good colour characteristics and superb lumen maintenance over life, emit negligible UV, have excellent dimming capabilities and result in low maintenance costs.
