MEGAMAN^® LED Module TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2 - The First True LED Alternative for Metal Halide

(Hong Kong – 27 Oct 2013) MEGAMAN^® who leads the way in energy-efficient lighting, is pleased to introduce the second generation of its LED module range - TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2.

Winner of the “Best in Fair” award in the Light Source Category at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair in October 2012, the TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2 has improved efficacy levels of up to 125 lm/W and an expanded range including even smaller unit sizes (49.5 x 25 mm). The TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2 offers a viable LED alternative to 20W and 35W ceramic metal halide lamps. TECOH^® MHx GENERATION2 modules only consume 17W – 24W offering up to 38% energy saving when compared to Ceramic Metal Halide.

An application-ready solution which can be simply adapted into existing luminaires, the TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2 range provides high efficacy and stable output over the lamp’s 40,000 operating hours. Its unique geometry makes it ideal for use where powerful, narrow spotlighting solutions are required.

Building on the success of MEGAMAN^®'s intelligent TCH reflector solutions, TECOH^® MHx – GENERATION2 uses a double axial mounted LED array and a unique patented thermally conductive base and head design to offer fixture manufacturers superb heat dissipation, lighting performance and lumen maintenance. The LED module range is available in both a G12 and GU6.5 sized ceramic metal halide lamp equivalent, plus holder assembly, and has a similar light centre length offering a true alternative to a both the 20W and 35W metal halide lamp. The module’s dimensions mean that only simple fixture adaptations need to be made, while the lamp’s design allows for effective beam control from existing reflectors.
